Our Mission

To instill the belief and confidence in youth to accomplish anything they set their minds to. We NURTURE through community gardening & skills-based learning for youth and young adults. We LEAD through Youth Leadership & Mentorship panels and seminars. We INSPIRE through Motivation & Self-esteem building for youth through activity-based trainings on the track.

"When you nurture and fuel your inner belief,

you unlock the champion inside yourself."

- Valerie Brisco-Hooks

Our Philosophy

The VBH Sports Foundation believes that our youth deserve the opportunity to fulfill their potential and promise. Working to uplift youth in Valerie’s hometown of Los Angeles, the Foundation embraces the power of example, mentorship, and motivation - lessons that guided Valerie to become one of the most decorated Olympic track and field athletes of all time.
